Hours:           Full time- 35 hours per week

Salary:          NJC points 25-28 (£22,658 - £24,964 p.a.) + pension

Citizens Advice Leeds is seeking an experienced generalist adviser to join our Outreach Team. The adviser will deliver advice for Citizens Advice Leeds at a range of venues across the city including community centres, one stop centres, health centres, etc.

The Outreach Team works with a diverse range of clients from across Leeds including mental health service users and hospital in-patients.

Suitable candidates will have experience working as a generalist adviser (paid or voluntary) and a commitment to the aims and principles of the Citizens Advice service.

Citizens Advice Leeds is seeking an experienced generalist adviser to deliver an advice service with a focus on combatting fuel poverty and maximising income for clients.

The adviser will deliver advice for Citizens Advice Leeds at a range of venues across the city including community centres, children’s centres, health centres, etc.

The successful candidate will have thorough and up to date knowledge of welfare benefits, debt, housing and other generalist advice issues, including fuel poverty.

CONNECT LEEDS PROJECT

Citizens Advice Leeds provides advice and information on a wide range of subjects with many of our clients having several, inter-related problems. We help clients to navigate through such difficult times and find solutions to problems that can seem overwhelming.

Through our Connect Leeds project we aim to reach more people through a new webchat service delivered alongside our telephone, face-to-face and email services.  The project will also help people to increase their skills and confidence in using online and digital services.

We’re looking for two people who are passionate about improving access to justice to develop this project, building on the successes of our existing telephone and training teams. 

 

TELEPHONE AND DIGITAL SERVICES SUPERVISOR

Hours:                       35 hours per week (full time)

Salary:                      Scale points 29-31 (£25,951- £27,668) + pension

We are seeking a Telephone and Digital Services Supervisor to be part of our Connect Leeds team. If you are looking for an alternative and rewarding challenge then this could be the role for you.

As Telephone and Digital Services Supervisor you will play a key part in the development and expansion of digital media services at our organisation to increase access to advice across Leeds.

The successful applicant will have excellent leadership skills, supporting the telephone/digital staff and volunteer team to ensure consistently accessible and high quality advice is available to all our service users.

In addition you will possess excellent communication and organisational skills, be passionate about the development of client services and be able to demonstrate forward thinking.

TRAINING OFFICER

Hours:                       21 hours per week

 Salary:                      Scale points 26-29 (£23,398 - £25,951 p.a. pro rata) + pension

We are seeking a Training Officer to be part of our Connect Leeds team.  As Training Officer you will play a key role in helping our service users to improve their skills and confidence in using online and digital services including comparison websites, switching services and online banking. 

The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills and experience of developing and delivering training/coaching using a variety of training methods.  You don’t need to be a technical wizard but you should be comfortable with using online and digital systems and knowledge of Universal Credit and other Benefits will be an advantage.
